Air barrier performance testing Performed by Systems Building Envelope Consultants provides building air tightness testing and and diagnostic evaluation services in accordance with the USACE Building Air Tightness Testing Protocol and in general accordance with ASTM E779 (2003), ASTM E1827-96 (2002), ASTM C1060-90 (1997) and ASTM E1186-03. We are currently providing building air tightness testing and air barrier testing all over the country for numeorus USACE projects which have been required to conducts such tests since January of 2010.We are certified in the Air Leakage Testing in Large Buildings and understand the building science behind the complex interactions in large buildings, including an understanding of Testing procedures (ASTM, USACE), testing equipment, how measurements are made, how the results are used and how to deal with the complex pressure interactions that affect large buildings.We are likewise Licensed Air Barrier Field Auditors through the ABAA (Air Barrier Association of America) which is required in some of the specifications used by the USACE, particularly section 07 26 00.00 06 which at times requires the air barrier to be installed in accordance with ABAA.
